Lost Republic
Honolulu Advertiser headline prior to "surprise" Pearl Harbor attack:

Censoring Ron Paul – Why the rEVOLution will not be televised

Gandhi: “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they attack you, then you win.”

Ron Paul was the leader in 4th quarter fund raising. He finished second in Nevada. He regularly gets more votes than Guiliani. He’s outlasted Brownback, Tancredo, Hunter and Thompson. There is NO WAY they’re accidentally ignoring him. This is blatant, widespread censorship. The media is lying to you, America.

2008:

-MSNBC debate bias
Romney: 21 minutes, 11 seconds (12 answers and asked 1 question)
McCain: 16 minutes even (12 answers and asked 1 question)
Giuliani: 13 minutes and 50 seconds (10 answers and asked 1 question)
Huckabee: 12 minutes and 11 seconds (8 answers and asked 1 question)
Paul: 6 minutes and 31 seconds (5 answers and asked 1 question)

-As FL primary approaches, Miami Herald non-mentions Ron Paul, in article covering the Republican race.
-Fox “News” television graphic. They lie.
-BCC too? Notice anything missing from this race summary? The defenders of our corrupt monetary policy are widespread and numerous.
-THIS JFK / MLK / Ron Paul video was censored by YouTube. It’s author lost his account.
-I should have screen-captured. An ABC “News” story on the republican race had photos of all the candidates down to Duncan Hunter, with no Ron Paul.
-CNN gives Dr. Paul, and only Dr. Paul, a non-smiling photograph.
-Multiple 11th-hour rule changes by Nevada GOP concern Paul campaign.
-Digg Censoring Ron Paul.
-On the eve of the New Hampshire primary, Fox “News” is editing Ron Paul from AP stories. (More)
-New Republic’s Jamie Kirchick scrapes the barrel of yellow journalism ludicrously claiming that Ron Paul personally called Martin Luther King a “gay pedophile,” and stuffed 20 years’ worth of “Ron Paul” newsletters full of “racist, anti-semitic, homophobic invective.” Read Ron Paul’s response.
-Ballot box at Scottsdale AZ Straw Poll almost stolen by McCain supporters.
-From a Reader: Union Leader pretends Ron Paul does not exist on the morning of the New Hampshire primaries: Primary calendar

DECEMBER 07:

-To finish off the new year, Fox “News” has excluded Ron Paul from a New Hampshire forum. (More)
-UN-Believable! Late December, and Rasmussen STILL won’t include the six-million-dollar man in their polls, despite fundraising that’s long-since surpassed Thompson’s, Romney’s, Giuliani’s. For the few of you who still trust the mainstream, please stop.
-Bloomberg “news” column discusses all presidential candidates except . . . (surprise, surprise) . . . Ron Paul.
-I’ve heard many reports of telephone polls excluding Ron Paul. Here’s a recording. When the guy chooses “none of the above,” the automated system acts as if he chose “remove me from this list.”
-Widely quoted LA Times poll excludes Ron Paul. Its organizer has long history of excluding candidates.
-CBS “News” censors Ron Paul from graphics and commentary.
-Lew Rockwell: the Atlantic continues attacking Ron Paul, this time pointing out that “libertarian ideology and white supremacist ideology just so happen to overlap,” since both Ron Paul and white supremacists don’t think the federal government should interfere with the right to associate with whomever you choose on your own private property. This ridiculous guilt-by-association remains a common approach by Paul’s detractors.
-This is typical Big media news coverage. There’s a facade of neutrality, but of all the ways to write this headline, ABC “news” chooses the most hostile spin possible. Read ABC’s sub-headings: Opposing, Denying, Cutting, Rejecting. ABC also refused to air the Ron Paul interview. It’s available online.
-This Fox “News” broadcast is similar. ALL the candidates have Merry-Christmas ads. Only Ron Paul is put on the spot to defend it. The interviewer goes on to promote the Ron-Paul-is-racist meme. As usual, Dr. Paul answers very thoughtfully.
-Paul: Fox News is scared of me.
-littlegreenfootballs.com pushes Ron-Paul-is-a-Nazi rhetoric. I suspect this persistent meme results from Ron Paul’s philosophical objection to our annual $5 billion gift to Israel. (Hear Ron Paul talk about how this welfarism HURTS Israel.) I’ll bet ten bucks they don’t post this photo of Hillary Clinton with convicted drug dealer and cocaine smuggler Jorge Cabrera. Don’t even get me started on the Clintons’ criminal history.
-AP News: Ron Paul is a spoiler, i.e. not a real candidate. The article is factually incorrect when it says polls show no indication he can win any primaries.
-NY Sun continues smearing Paul. I should give up on this rag.
-Wonkette tries to coin the slur “Paultards,” as Neo-Libs join Neo-Cons. (Psst, they’re the same people.)
-NBC’s Tim Russert conducts openly hostile interview with Ron Paul. He discusses statements Ron Paul made in the 80′s to split hairs about issues insignificant to Dr. Paul’s current platform. As usual, Paul answers all questions thoughtfully. “News” man Russert ends interview with ominous: “Be safe on the campaign trail.”
-Best-selling author says assassination of Ron Paul has been discussed by power-brokering elites. (Follow-up: Neo-Con personalities among them.) Remember, they killed Bobby Kennedy after he won the California primary.
-Great YouTube compilation of Ron Paul slander in mainstream press.
-The organizers of a political dinner in San Francisco cancelled their straw poll after it became apparent Ron Paul would win.
-Upcoming CBS series looks like it will exclude Ron Paul.
-Newsweek ridicules Ron Paul and his supporters. (read the comments)
-TWO attacks against Ron Paul in the Dec. 24th NY Times. I think this means he’s doing well. UPDATE: NY Times retracts Ron Paul smear.
-In a staggering display of selective perception, NY Times columnist Bob Herbert laments the GOP’s militancy, completely ignoring Ron Paul’s presence. This is especially asinine, as Herbert’s own beliefs most closely resemble Paul’s. Herbert mentions all GOP presidential candidates in his column except . . . (surprise, surprise) . . . Ron Paul.
-Uber-Neo-Con chicken-hawk Bill Kristol calls Ron Paul a crackpot, completely distorts his views.
-Sorry, NPR lovers. A reader sent me this email about Diane Rehm’s committed non-mention of Dr. Paul.
-Cable provider ComCast interrupts CNN interview with Ron Paul.

NOVEMBER 07:

-The CNN/YouTube debate went for 35 minutes before Ron Paul got a question. He received the least amount of time, and only four question. (Giuliani got nine.) Hear Ron Paul comment.
-Washington Post’s post-debate commentary excludes Ron Paul. For those of you who still trust Big Media, please stop.
-The Rothenberg Political Report categorically dismisses Ron Paul.
-Mainstream press struggles with Ron Paul’s surging popularity.
-Salon discusses non-mention of Ron Paul Phenomenon by NY Times, Washing Post, CNN, CBS News, MSNBC and Fox.
-Few big media sources can still get away with ignoring Ron Paul. Many (ABC’s This Week) minimize his recent success, discussing him as a spoiler.
-Major polls STILL excluding Ron Paul. See for yourself: RealClearPolitics.com.
-A Zogby poll branched one poller into boring questions about rice, then personal questions about sex, after he answered positively about Ron Paul.
-CNBC anchor tries to play damage control after Chicago traders cheer Ron Paul, gets pointedly contradicted.
-Digg bans Ron Paul Nation.
-Springfield, IL targets Ron Paul signs.
-Echoes of Wired‘s ridiculous Ron Paul bot-net allegation still circulating. UPDATE: Here is photographic evidence of the bot-net and the spammers.
-Fantastic, link-rich antiwar.com article: Why are they afraid of Ron Paul?
-Ultra neo-con HotAir.com adopts Ron-Paul-is-a-Nazi meme, which was repeated at Jewcy, but contradicted by Zionists for Ron Paul.
-Daily Kos: Ron Paul hates you.
-Neo-Lib Wonkette consistently smearing Ron Paul, founding editor recruited to Time Magazine.
-Sean Hanity faces optimistic Ron Paul prediction.
-The Atlantic bloggers factually wrong on Ron Paul.
-Stupid questions on CBS’s Face The Nation: You do not see the threats to this country . . . do you think we even ought to have a military? So should we build a wall around this country and put all our military here? Do you really sincerely believe that you have a chance?
-After Ron Paul’s Nov 5th, $4.3-million-dollar money bomb, media spins it as commemoration of Guy Fawkes bombing attempt. See NY Times, Wired, Cnet.
-Damage control after Nov 5th Money bomb: The Atlantic, CBS, the neo-con Weekly Standard frantically repeat Ron-Paul-is-insane meme.
-Same thing repeated in my alma mater’s daily. (I rebuttal.)
-Florida county tries to bad Ron Paul truck-sign, fails after public makes themselves heard.
-Jackie Mason completely distorts Ron Paul’s beliefs.
-CNN’s Glenn Beck calls Paul supporters terrorists, interviews hate-monger David Horowitz, who lies (Ron Paul didn’t choose Nov 5th), and says Paul supports “in bed with the Islamo-fascists.”
-Glenn Beck’s CNN poll excludes Ron Paul.

OCTOBER 07:

-I’ve always took it for granted that Fox “News” stacks their audiences to achieve a desired effect. Here a Bush crony poses as an objective, neutral observer of the Florida debate, after which, Hannity and Colmes try to spin away Ron Paul’s success.
-FOX’s Hannity denies the obvious: the people who watched chose Ron Paul.
-Bullshit Wired article says Paul supporters are internet viruses. (The man raised about 10 million with an average contribution of $40!)
-Salon echoes the ridiculous accusation. Once something is reported, the propaganda machine can report the reporting. (See disinformation technique #22)
-Is author of Wired article connected to Giuliani?. (needs verification)
-Very, very strange Defense Department interruption of Ron Paul C-SPAN interview.
-Paul not invited to MSNBC presidential candidate forum.

-CNBC Pulls online poll after Ron Paul wins by a landslide.
-Republican Jewish Coalition excludes Ron Paul from their forum. Jews for Ron Paul protest. A Ron Paul Meetup forms in Tel Aviv.
-Strange. Bogus story about a bogus event. Seems to try and link Paul-supporters with America haters.
-MSNBC’s Hardball discusses cutting “freeloaders” like Paul from the field, for the benefit of the voters. “There may be an effort by the networks to narrow this field.” Chris Matthews says Giuliani’s 9/11 debate remark was a “homerun.” This was recorded after Sen. Brownback dropped out (Oct 19th) – AFTER Ron Paul’s $5 million third quarter.

SEPTEMBER 07:

-NY Republican club says no to Dr. Paul.
-Ron Paul WINS straw poll in New Hampshire, and therefore, gopstrawpoll.com removes him from their online poll.
-Hannity lies to discredit Ron Paul after the congressman WINS the fox news poll following the September 5th debate.
-Holy crap. During the debate, Fox “news” moderator Chris Wallace said: So, Congressman Paul, I’d like you to take 30 seconds to answer this, you’re basically saying that we should take our marching orders from al Qaeda? more here

AUGUST 07:

-ABC Talk show host Mark Levin declares war on Ron Paul. He asks listeners to harass Paul’s campaign headquarters. Ron Paul supporters teach Levin something about blowback!
-Ahead of the influential straw poll, the Iowa GOP seems neither reassuring of a fair election, nor willing to let the vote be easily verified. They ask Ron Paul’s campaign for almost $200k just to verify the vote.
-After the August 5th debate, ABC news tinkered with their online poll.

JULY 07:

JUNE 07:

-Ron Paul succeeds in Iowa despite exclusion.
-Ron Paul, banned from an Iowa debate, will hold a separate rally.
-Another desperate effort to slander him, by CNN “Which GOP candidate flies first class?”

SPRING 07:

-CNN attempts to slander Ron Paul. My favorite part is when they flash “blaming America for 9/11″ beneath his face while he’s speaking.

This is all about censorship. After all, censorship is becoming America’s favorite past-time. The US gov’t (and their corporate friends), already detain protesters, ban books like “America Deceived” from Amazon and Wikipedia, shut down Imus, stifle Ron Paul and fire 21-year tenured, BYU physics professor Steven Jones because he proved explosives, thermite in particular, took down the WTC buildings. Free Speech forever. Donate to Ron Paul TODAY. Nearly $2 million in 12 hours.

Great work putting this mess together!

The NWO/globalist are running the show. All the top tier candidates are CFR members. The media moguls are CFR members. Most of Congress are CFR members. They all spew different degrees of an unConstitutional agenda to dismantle America for global control.

The only way to defeat them, is to rise up in unison. And now we are. The people are speaking.

We are up against it but “We the people” are finding great resolve. It’s as though we are speaking with one voice.
Money talks. I have requested of the Dec 16 money bomb people to put the tea party info on GOOGLES first page. I am not very savvy with the computer- a lot of older Americans need to find things more easily. If you agree with me please contact the 12/16/07 originators. Tea party should be easy to find, click and donate. If you agree would you help by contacting the originators and requesting the same.
    Thank You,

Their censorship just makes us all that much more determined. I seriously do believe than RON PAUL can win this thing. Keep up the good work everyone!

  12. Paul

Please CORRECT the spelling ‘Ghandi’ – its GANDHI (pronounced gun-dhee). Looks bad on the website and on that database, since you have chosen to put the quote at the top. Great words of wisdom! Thanks for the good work.

  13. Bill McCaskill

Thank God for the internet. Without the internet very few would know of Dr. Paul even today. When do they shut down the internet to obtain even greater domination?

That’s all well and good. We know Ron Paul is being smeared, censored, sabotaged as best as they can.
We also know that Ron Paul supporters are capable of supporting his candidacy financially. Why don’t we put our money where our mouth is when it comes to fighting against his enemies. They are not simply “opponents” which is fine and normal in this political system. We need a blacklist of corporations and companies that oppose his message and then deny them our patronage. We need to hit them when it counts. Similarly, we need to know who promotes his message. Those companies then would receive our support. I will continue to donate TO the cause of freedom. I now want to deprive his enemies of my business.

Remember that voters have a right to write in a candidate if they wish to vote for someone who is not on the official ballot.

    Pass it around.

  18. Mike G

    Thanks for this list.
I was watching the interview with Glenn Beck last week and COMCAST put an infomercial on when Beck was going to let Dr. Paul talk for the last part of the show.
It is the most obvious censorship I have seen so far.

    Go for
    Dr. No

    Great Job.
My observation, the public no longer trusts MSM, nor any politicians, including Paul, and are unwilling to check him out to any degree to change their mind. That’s fine. These people will not vote in the Primaries. Most who took the time to text message, and online vote will. Hindsight, this has to be far more scientific than randomly calling people giving them a selective field and arranging the results to suit. Vote fraud imminent. After the Primaries ,if Paul wins,ie isn’t cheated, his record and horse sense should help him win the publics favor.
    Recent additions to your list:
I monitored a poll given at Michelle Malkin’s site that abruptly ended when Ron Paul was at risk of overtaking Fred Thompson’s double digit lead within an hours time. I stumbled onto the poll and later checked my usual sites visited to see if anyone was directed to the poll, they weren’t.
Lou Dobbs Tonight omitted Paul’s name from the results of an Iowa poll, skipping his fifth place finish and inserting McCains name as if he had the fifth spot and not the sixth. Only percentage tallies given. Name recognition is a big concern for them, may be blessing is disguise for Paul, as stated above the less the MSM mentions him the less the public mistrusts him. Lou Dobbs in more jeopardy of losing faithful viewers than losing favor of Neo-Lib CNN bigwigs.

If you’re looking to boycott specific brands you’re going to have a difficult time figuring out who’s who and what’s what. Corporations are a tangle of entities and even if a company doesn’t “own” another it can still be a major shareholder of the company’s stock. The Evil Ones are even buying up the popular organic brand names so god knows WHAT we’re getting anymore.

Best advice: Stop shopping entirely. OR, if you must, make it a point to shop local, such as bread baked on site instead of shipped in from god knows where. I get a lot of my stuff from Goodwill, the Salvation Army and hospital thrift shops even though I have the money to shop retail.

I avoid chain stores in favor of local independents. Their coffee shops are more interesting anyway.

Read your booze bottles. Know where it comes from and who distributes it. I look for family-owned independents, and shop at smaller liquor stores staffed by people who REALLY know their stuff and can point you in the right direction.

I will drive past an Exxon or Mobil in favor of a more remote gas station to avoid giving the WORST oil company my money, even when I’m on a major freeway. I found a stand-alone independent pump owned by a local yokel off in the boondocks and I will go ten miles out of the way to get my gas from him. Fortunately I get 42 mph (hybrid) and he’s on my way to work.

Corporate America can bite me. Since the Evil Ones have tasers and concentration camps armed revolt is pointless. In fact they’re just waiting for an opportunity to declare martial law! Peaceful noncooperation is probably the only thing that will work. This New Years Eve I’m cutting up my credit card. I don’t license my pets because it’s lame. I don’t EVER register for ANYTHING if I can help it.

If forced to take a survey in which I give up my race/sex/income I give them bad information to muck up their databases. I usually tell them I’m blonde, 28, busty and really rich because I get more interesting mail that way.

If anything bad happens to RP or the primaries are rigged I might just not do my federal taxes next year. Imagine if every RP supporter did THAT! The ultimate “tea party.” Tax Revolt Day. All the threats and signwaving leading up to April would have the biggest impact. There would be too many of us for the IRS to go after.

Ron Paul exclusion, mis-reporting and bashing has been one of the more wonderful things about his campaign.

I cannot tell you the number of young people who watched incredulously as they saw a report on some event, debate etc. that involved Ron Paul, and have them exclaim, “But that is not what happened!” “But that is not what was said!” (spin). This education into the corporate media alone is worth much.

In my day the slogan was, “Don’t trust anyone over 30.” Still good advice.

Ignore him and it only serves to rally his troops. And with the Internet, particularly Youtube, the lamestream media risks a good deal with what they “report” not matching what the video shows. “Who are you going to believe? Me or your lying eyes?”

Bypassing the lamestream media has proven increasingly easy with the tools of the Internet. MSM you are soooooo toast.

The military is being trained to kill you ,,that’s right , they train US TROOPS & ask them if they could kill friends & family ?? Why is this ,,. because ,,as seen in Police II The Takeover where you see North Carolina street being locked down by military for training is they are preparing & training them for Martial Law , this is the scariest thing i’ve seen next to the training going on in IRAQ , This war not only poisons our military by using wmd’s ..That’s right The US MIlitary used the WMD’S ,,not IRAQ ,, we poison our troops with Delpleted Uranium & it’s in all our warheads & Iraq will be contamonated forever ,, if you have 1lb. of Depleted Uranium ,it will be cut in 1/2 in 4 million years ,,that’s right , it takes 4 million years for it to disinegrate into 1/2 it’s size & it poisons our troops & 25% suffer in every war & they get cut off by healthcare because they know there’s nothing that can help them .
By the time they come home they are poisoned & they cannot function to help the people in the time of need if the UN OR US.Government turns on us & we need to protect ourselves. They want the troops disabled & if the enviornment don’t get them sick , they give them 17 vaccines that will do the job. It’s total treason & total deception & it’s all by design!!

People need to support Ron Paul ,,they don’t realize he is the only one who is the true honest person for the job & we have not had anyone like this since Andrew Jackson who said the Central Banks had too much power & we had to have a monetary system of currency .Ron Paul is all about ther Constitution , he will put an end to all of the topics we need him to take of most . But people rely on mass media & believe all they hear & that is just stupidity & ignorance & Freedom & Liberty was they key to brainwashing the people into never thiking it could happen in THE USA ,, Well folks , if we do not act now we will not have a chance & the UN will be the World Military Complex & we will just be at their mercy .

I need you all to reasearch what i’m saying , i’ve seen it & heard it & this is a warning to all Americans.. Why do you think they are so scared of Ron Paul ???? He is the true front runner & we cannot allow voting corruption because we all know who has the most support of all the candidates but why do we not see it in the caucuses & Primary’s >>> GO RON PAUL , it’s almost too late !!!!!!!!!!!

[...] -”Sept. 3, 2008 | MINNEAPOLIS — If you were in the Twin Cities on Tuesday, you could be forgiven for thinking that Republicans had to come to Minnesota to nominate Ron Paul instead of John McCain. At St. Paul’s Xcel Center, where the real Republican convention is being held, a substantial number of seats remained empty. Next door in Minneapolis, however, a wildly enthusiastic crowd came close to filling the Target Center, capacity 10,000, where the Paul-ist faithful had gathered for their own quasi-convention to pay tribute to the Texas congressman.” (Read more from Salon.com This article goes on to smear Ron Paul and his supporters (me).
